Is it Christmas yet?

The first couple of weeks of December, the boys and I tried really hard to stay busy so time would go fast!! We were all so excited to go home for Christmas, time seemed like it was stalled!! Nathan had finals the week before we left, so he was busy studying. So Carter, Chase and I tried to make the time go faster! Carter asked me several times a day if we were going to Spokane tomorrow. The day before we left, I was so happy to finally be telling him yes!!!

We went to Union Station one day and met Cat in the Hat.... Carter was pretty excited

And we also saw Mrs. Clause

Here is Carter with his first home made ornament... A Cat in the Hat

We got out our Nativity scene and the boys sat there for a while playing with it. I love to watch them play together!

Bass Pro Shop had a free picture with Santa, so we had to hit that up.  They also have a fun free carousel in the store. Carter loved riding the polar bear!

And then we saw Santa!! And there was no crying!!!!

They had the store decorated like a winter wonderland... it looked pretty cool

Carter found a horse and a cowboy hat... He ran around yelling Giddy Up Partner!!!

Carter and I also tackled a gingerbread house... well he mostly ate the candy while I did the decorating

He actually ate off of it for a while.

Such a good daddy

We also made some sugar cookies for our friends and neighbors
Carter's masterpiece

He had fun washing the dishes for me too :)

Here is Carter's first letter to Santa. I asked him what he wanted to say and he said, "Ho ho ho! I want a blue car for Christmas."

Superman!!!!

Chase wanted to be superman too :) I love watching my boys play with their daddy. There is nothing that makes me more happy than my family!!

Here is our little Christmas tree. I actually really like it. Someday we will upgrade to a big one :)
Carter and Chase posing before church

He loves this hat!

An attempt at a family photo. This was the best one of the bunch.

We also went over to our friends house and Carter got to make another gingerbread house. He was happy to have another one to eat!!

So needless to say we kept ourselves busy before the big trip home. But we all still couldn't wait to go home!! Up next... our adventures in Spokane!!

The rest of November...

At the end of November we got our family pictures taken, enjoyed a rare "warm" day where we actually went and had a picnic, went to see our friends in St. Louis and got ready for Christmas!!

The Bears...

Future soccer star
GOAL!!!

Nothing makes me happier than this....

Trying out the finger paints he got for his birthday

The day after Thanksgiving, we headed out to St. Louis to visit Ryan and Steph. We had an awesome time and it was so fun to see them! We are lucky they live so close now! Apparently I was not my typical picture taking self, cause I didn't take any actually. We took Carter to a children's museum and he had a blast. Ryan took all the pictures :)

Sitting in the oval office...future President?

Giving his first speech

Anyone who knows Carter, knows that he is WAY into Scooby Doo right now. They had a section of the museum for solving mysteries. It was fun to watch him work :)

Checking out the fingerprint evidence

Maybe daddy did it?

And this is what Chase did :)

I LOVE to hold sleeping babies :)

We also decided to get out our Christmas stuff and decorate since we would be in Spokane for a couple of weeks in December. Carter had so much fun and got so excited for Christmas to come... and so did I!!!

Our little man

We also went and got our family pictures taken. Carter turned 3 in October and Chase turned 6 months. So we decided it would be a good time to get those pics taken!

This kid has such a fun personality and cracks me up everyday!

If only he was this sweet and calm all the time :)
And we just can't get enough of our little Chase. So cute and we love watching his personality develop!

We love being a family of 4 and are so blessed!
