One last World's of Fun visit...

After Carter's party, Chase took a nap and Carter and I headed to the amusement park for one more hurrah before it closed for the year. We had a coupon from a friend who works there to get a caricature done, so we had to go use it.

We stopped and did a little trick or treating too. Carter was super excited and surprised that he got to trick or treat at Worlds of Fun!

Then we headed over to get the picture done. The girl asked Carter what he wanted to be drawn as and he said Batman!! So we got started!

Carter did a good job holding still and he was soooo happy with the picture!!

Then we headed over to ride his favorite ride, The Sea Dragon, one more time for the year.

We went and picked up the finished product. Carter thought he was pretty cool as Batman. She also asked what he wanted to be doing as Batman and he said fighting the bad guys like Joker. So she drew him standing on a defeated Joker. It turned out great!!

Goodbye World's of Fun!! Until next year!!!!

And yet another Happy Birthday Carter!!!!

As of he hadn't had enough birthday parties, the lucky Carter man got yet another birthday party with his friends. Carter is really in to superheroes right now, in particular the Justice League... which is mostly Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and the Flash. So he really really wanted a Superhero party, so that's what we did!!

Zero stores around here could make a Justice League cake. They did Batman or Superman, but nothing with them all together. So one of the bakery girls came up with the idea to do like a comic strip theme and include the zaps and pows, which went perfectly with the decorations. So we went with that. I got the figures from his party in Spokane, and I think it turned out great!!

I told myself to keep it simple and small this year, but that didn't happen... It was actually pretty hard to find Justice League stuff that wasn't super expensive so we made a lot of the decorations ourselves...

We told everyone they could come dressed as superheroes and Carter picked Green Lantern. His favorite at the time...

I made little zap, pow, bang, yum etc. signs to put in the food and around the house... I found some Justice League cupcake toppers that we put in the food too...

The first activity was cape decorating... I used a Justice League tablecloth and cut out cape shapes, then the kids decorated them with stickers. I had to make a lot of the stickers too...

We also played pin the Batman symbol on Batman....

And of course we opened some presents...

Carter's friend Cashel....

Little Quinn... Carter or Chase will be marrying her some day I predict :)

Cake time!!!

One happy boy!!!

The loot... Lots of new superhero stuff!!!

Love this little boy!!!!!!

And the best part of the party... playing with all the new stuff!!! Happy birthday Carter!!! Until next year :)

Cookies and trunk or treating...

We invited the Olsen's over for some Halloween cookie decorating. I hate making sugar cookies, but they are one of the best cookies and we have this tradition of making them at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's. So the more people to help decorate the better! And Carter loves his girlfriends Hadley and Brooklyn!!!

We had two trunk or treats this year. Carter's school had one and of course we had one at church.

The first one was at Carter's school and it was a lot of fun. They had games, food, face painting and of course trunk or treating!! They even had a costume party.

Carter picked a dragon tattoo for his face rather than getting his face painted...

Harper and Chase joined in the dance competition... They were so cute!!

For our ward party we decided to dress up. I had the costume so I might as well use it right :) Carter decided to be Flash this time...

After dinner, we played some games... Carter was a little small to be joined with this kid for the three legged race :)

Harper and Chase found each other again and she found his tail this time! They both were laughing hysterically!!!

And of course we finished out the night with some trunk or treating. Carter was excited to get some candy from Liz (Hadley and Brooklyn's mom)
We love us some Halloween!!!
