A few randoms...

The rest of September we just played and hung out. Carter had soccer and preschool and we just played while Nathan was at school. It was still fairly warm here, which was nice since the boys love to be outside! Carter goes to soccer with his friend Davido whose family is in our ward. We have become good friends and they really have fun playing together. This is our second round of soccer together, so we started a tradition of going to Red Robin after the first practice. On Wednesday nights they have balloon artists there who can honestly make whatever you want! It's amazing!

We picked a minion for Chase because we thought it was so awesome...

He loved it! He carried it around everywhere!

Carter picked Scooby Doo again. We tried to get him to get something else, but he was set on Scooby!!

His first soccer practice of the fall...
Chase LOVES this cereal. I have no idea how or why, but he loves it. I decided I had better take a picture and document his love for rice chex!

It gets rainy here at times, so I finally went out and bought some umbrellas. I was tired of running in and out of places and standing in the rain buckling the boys in! Carter picked Mickey Mouse. They didn't have Batman like he wanted, but he was still happy with Mickey!

I also found these chairs. You just blow them up and tada! They each have their own seat.

They really liked them!!

Chase insisted on trying them out on the couch. He kept grabbing them and putting them up there. It was hilarious. And he was so happy once I let him do it!!
The boys got to play some games with daddy...

Chase also decided he was big enough to feed himself...

He does pretty good!
And of course we had a lot of silly time. Love this little man!!!

The circus is in town!!

In September the circus came to town. I have always wanted to take the boys, so we decided to try it out!!

Carter was pretty excited!

The doors open an hour before the show and you can go meet some of the performers and they put on little shows for you. The dance team came out and they pulled Carter out on the floor with them...

He didn't know what to think..

He got excited when he saw he got to shake his booty out there! He loved it!

We also got to see an elephant paint before the show... Chase LOVED the elephants...

Then it was up to our seats and the show began! They started with a big song and stuff and I have never seen the boys sit so still! They were loving it!!

The human pyramids on the horses....

The lions....

These girls were performing attached by their hair...

The man who jumped through the ring of fire...

And the song before intermission...

The boys did great for the first little bit but were definitely getting restless so we were excited to see intermission come...

The acrobats...

And Chases' favorite the elephants...

And finally the last act... the motorcycles in the cage... they had 8 in there at the end

The theme for the circus was dragons. So during the last song they finally brought the big dragon out. Carter had been waiting all night for this moment! He was super excited! There were a lot of other acts, and it was a lot longer than I expected, but it was fun. However, I think we will wait a few years to hit up the circus again :)

Swimming and Ted...

Carter took his first swimming lessons in September. He loves the water, but is always a little reluctant to swim by himself or put his head in. So we started him in swim lessons and he did a great job!!

His teacher's name was Stacy and she did a really good job with him...

He liked swimming on his back the best and had a really good kick and backstroke :)

Working on the arm work...

At the end of each lesson he got to jump in a few times. Carter has never wanted to have his head go under when he jumped in but she talked him in to trying it.

He got some water in his nose and didn't like it, which is to be expected, so he wouldn't let her do that again :) By the end he was putting his face in the water and was way more comfortable in the water so I would say the lessons were a success!! He had a great time and keeps asking me when he can do it again.

Carter's preschool has a mascot in their class named Ted. Ted is a stuffed animal and he plays with them in their class and they give him hugs every day before they leave. Each week a different child gets to take a mini sized Ted home with them and take him on an adventure. Then they put pictures in a book and write about what they did. The next time they go to preschool they bring Ted back and share with the class what they did with Ted. They also get to be the helper for the day and bring something for show and tell.

Carter was beyond excited the first time he brought Ted home. I had to think of some things to do around here so we could take him on an adventure!!

The first day we just played at home...

They played superheroes of course...

The next day we took him out and about... First stop Costco!! Who can't have an adventure in that place!!

Then we went to the mall and took Ted on a ride on the carousel...

My friend Kourtney and her little munchkin Quinn came with us... These two are only a week apart and they are buddies!! Chase loves him some Quinn!!

Then we went to Bass Pro Shop and showed Ted all the animals..

Carter had such a great time with Ted and was super sad when he had to take him back! He felt a little better knowing that he would come visit again!!
