Chase 18 months...

October was also the month that Chase turned 18 months. After getting a few camera tips from Taraka, we ventured out on our own and took some pictures of him. They turned out awesome!!! I was soooo happy with them! The weather and surroundings were perfect and we even got him to smile:) Here is what Chase is up to at 18 months...

He runs around like crazy, never walks, just like Carter!!
He loves chicken nuggets, fruit snacks, apples, pizza, spaghetti, bananas, pretzels, squeeze food pouches and pancakes. He hates bread, plain pasta, oatmeal, and pears. He is starting to want to feed himself and is quite messy :)
He is starting to talk... a lot! Every day he says something new! It's really nice because he can tell me what he wants instead of crying for it!!
He says mama, dada, night night, no no, water, Carter, apple, roar, lion, shoes, blankies, toes, toothbrush and toothpaste... and he says eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and hair while he points to them. He has a lot more in his vocab but that's what I can think of right now...
He loves to pester Carter and always wants to be doing what he is doing.
He likes to look at books and dance to music, but he will not watch TV... which is ok but sometimes I just wish he would relax for a bit and watch a show!!
He favorite songs are Carrie Underwood and U2 songs of course :)
He likes to play with cars, balls, animals, blocks, and Carter's superhero stuff.
He has gone to the bathroom twice on the toilet, but doesn't want to anymore.
He likes to ride in the cart and look around Target with his mom.
Carter takes care of him, and even though he bugs him a lot, they are really starting to play well together!
When we take Carter to preschool, Chase always gets sad.
He is a climber!!!! He gets up on everything and gets in to everything constantly. I call him my little tornado because I feel like I am constantly following him around cleaning up after him and pulling him down off stuff.
We love our little Chase man and he makes us smile and laugh every day! He brings excitement and fun to the house and I love love love watching him and Carter grow closer. We are so blessed that he is part of our family! We love you Chaser!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Halloween was really fun this year. We started the day with Carter's preschool party. Nathan was off that day, so I got to go to Carter's class and help with the party!

Checking out the goods they get...

We made little spiders out of cookies... And leave it to Carter to only eat the pretzels and not the Oreo... Not his mother's child :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy!!!

Carter's friend Hadley enjoying the party...

Next we made some spiders out of paper and plates...

Played a bowling game with Davido and his mom...

And a don't drop the candy game...

He was really focused...

Then we had our goodbye song. It was a lot of fun and Carter loved it! I was so happy I got to go!

When we got home, Chase wanted to dress up too..

LOVE LOVE LOVE this boy!!!!

Then we did some trick or treating... This was Chase's first time really trick or treating and walking up to the door...

Our little Frankenstein... He LOVED it and by the end was saying trick or treat at the door...

And we had our traditional Jack o Lantern pizza...

Soooo stinkin cute!!!!

The cutest Green Lantern in the galaxy!!!

They went out with Nathan... took a break and ate some pizza... then I took them back out...

And they got quite the loot! Lucky boys!!!

Pumpkins!!!

First, here is a random picture Carter wanted me to take of his awesome superhero set-up. He got a lot of this stuff for his birthday, and he was one happy boy!!

We invited the Olsen's and the Schow's over for some pumpkin carving. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time!
I was surprised Carter would stick his hand in there. He refused to last year, but I guess he changed his ways!!

Carter wanted a Justice League pumpkin, so I spent A LOT of the night trying to carve him one...

I think it turned out pretty good. And all are represented... Batman, Superman, Flash and Green Lantern...

I made a monster for Chase. The poor little guy got sick so he wasn't up for carving or picture taking. Maybe next year buddy!!!!

One last World's of Fun visit...

After Carter's party, Chase took a nap and Carter and I headed to the amusement park for one more hurrah before it closed for the year. We had a coupon from a friend who works there to get a caricature done, so we had to go use it.

We stopped and did a little trick or treating too. Carter was super excited and surprised that he got to trick or treat at Worlds of Fun!

Then we headed over to get the picture done. The girl asked Carter what he wanted to be drawn as and he said Batman!! So we got started!

Carter did a good job holding still and he was soooo happy with the picture!!

Then we headed over to ride his favorite ride, The Sea Dragon, one more time for the year.

We went and picked up the finished product. Carter thought he was pretty cool as Batman. She also asked what he wanted to be doing as Batman and he said fighting the bad guys like Joker. So she drew him standing on a defeated Joker. It turned out great!!

Goodbye World's of Fun!! Until next year!!!!
